Now That’s What Your Voice Can Do

This morning, Harvey Weinstein surrendered to the NYPD. He's still denying the scores of accusations against him, but no one cares. We're way beyond that. There's a new collective consciousness in these United States where we believe women first rather than blame them first. That's an astonishing cultural shift. But don't get too smug about it. The Harvey Weinsteins of the world aren't just going to crawl back under their rocks after this morning's news. We have to be prepared to speak out, again and again and again--even when it's risky, even when it's painful, even when it's hard. We owe it to ourselves--and to all of the women who have been intimidated, slandered, and worse, to get us to this point. Today we can know that there is an entire world of women who are behind us, and that for the first time in our history as women, we will be heard. We can't ever be silent again.
